Uganda is an all-year-round visited country with temperatures hardly changing throughout the seasons.  Meanwhile, the most ideal period to visit Uganda is during its two dry season when the dirt roads are navigable and also when the grasses in the country’s savanna national parks are short, perfect for game viewing.

The two dry seasons happen in the months of June to August and the second dry season happens from December to February, this is when all the tourists’ activities in the national parks are at peak.

The gorilla and chimpanzee permits should be booked in advance, let your tour agency know in time for fantastic preparations. Book everything in advance including; a 4X4 vehicle, accommodation and other essentials on your trip. Generally most of the national parks in Uganda are best visited in the drier seasons.

The most astounding national parks for wildlife viewing in Uganda include; Murchison Falls National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Kidepo Valley National Park, among others.
